About
Not far from home is where I find my inspiration to draw and paint; the wildflower strewn meadows of Hope Valley, a sandy bank along the Truckee River, in the center of a horse pasture under the cottonwoods. Everywhere I look I see the amazing diversity of our Sierra mountain wildlife and our Carson Valley country living. I absolutely love searching out the little details in nature and recreating them in my artwork.
I have lived in South Lake Tahoe and the Carson Valley over the past 34 years. I am a self-taught artist and I enjoy drawing with colored pencils and painting with acrylics and water colors. I also create landscape and animal portraits by felting dyed wool.
